Painting

So we have begun our painting excitement here at the Bellanger house. First room up, Jacob's. We put a coat of primer on yesterday to both the ceiling and the walls due to the fact that our entire place is covered in white semi-gloss! Carl also got the blue on the walls. Today we got the trims, touch-up stuff and the ceiling done. Jacob's room is now blue, a tone called Americana. He wants to have a Boy Scout room, so this color works out well. I will get some pictures in the next few days, when I hopefully can get a new digital camera with some of our tax return loot! Wish us luck. Next up, Alex...

Important Fire Safety Information

I really appreciate Carl's sister Jenn for bringing this to my attention. This video demonstrates how our children, some even teenagers, do not hear the smoke alarms when they are sleeping. This is something you can be sure I will be testing in the next few nights. I had no idea, although I should have known this all along. My children could sleep through a hurricane! The report also states that there are new alarms coming on to the market that you can program with your own voice. I will post when I find more information on this.

I LOVE SPAM!

Ha ha ha. I cannot stop laughing!! My parents sent us a package in the mail and it JUST came. My mom likes to fill in every last nook and cranny for her buck, so she usually includes some snacks for the boys, or tiny doodads of some sort. Today, she sent me this:

I have NEVER seen this product!! Not SPAM of course, which I adore beyond reason all fried up and crispy, but a single serving package of SPAM!! My mother really does love me! ha ha No seriously though, isn't this the silliest thing!? I love it! Now I can have myself a lovely fried spam sandwich for dinner and give the boys the easy mac she sent for them! Thanks Mom!

Ugh,,,

I have had the Martian Death Flu for at least 3 days now. Today was the first day that Carl had to go to work since I have been sick. It started out ok, I was feeling pretty good about my recovery. Then, my body decided that that had been a pretty funny joke, and brought back the fever and the chills and the aches. Ugh...My eyes are glazing over as I write this, but I wanted to acknowledge my AWESOME boys. Jacob cleaned the bathroom for me today, without being asked, and Alex washed my dishes. How awesome! Also, Since school is out for Mid-Winter break Lauren has been here with her brother Trey and she even picked up my living room for me the other day. Props to my now 13 year old Niece!! Happy Birthday Lauren!!! By the way, this is Christina if you haven't guessed, even though I am logged in as Carl. My brain can't figure out how to change that right now! ha...I love being sick...
